A sculptural clay study of bluebells and horsetails from a northern garden. Each bluebell flower has been hand-sculpted and secured onto the clay background. Each piece of green was hand-rolled and applied one at a time to create the horsetail plants. Horsetails (known as pot scrubbers in the back country) are some of the oldest plants in existence and thrive throughout the northern boreal forest! This 6x8" sculptural clay painting is framed in a black shadow box and has almost two inches of depth.
